1956 Gibson L-50 w/ added P-90

Product Description

This 1956 Gibson L-50 is finished in Sunburst. This L-50 is a vintage acoustic archtop that has had a P-90 single coil pickup and accompanying electronics installed, so it now resembles an ES-150 or ES-125 style guitar. This guitar features a 16" wide maple body with mahogany sides. The mahogany neck features a fatter 50's rounded profile which is a joy to play and a Brazilian rosewood fretboard with trapezoid inlays. The electronics on this guitar date to 1962 and feature an older bumble bee capacitor and gold knobs. Other features include a black beveled pickguard, Gibson gold silkscreen logo, period correct Grover tuners, an adjustable rosewood bridge and a trapeze tailpiece with raised diamonds. Another wonderful feature about this L-50 is that it comes with an original Lifton hard shell case. These cases can ring in over $1,000 of value on the vintage market alone and this one is quite clean with all of its latches operational. There is no serial number on this guitar. The Factory Order Number dates it accurately to 1956. FON: V6657-22 Another wonderful feature about this L-50 is that it comes with an original Lifton hard shell case.
